Biosphere Reserves are territories designated internationally by UNESCO that balance biodiversity conservation with the socioeconomic development of local communities. They serve as global models of sustainability and examples of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

The Val d'Aran (Central Pyrenees, Catalonia) was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on July 5, 2024 and needed to communicate its prestigious status.

The goal was to create an outdoor campaign that would not only inform but also emotionally connect with tourists. Positioned strategically at the physical entrance to the valley, this billboard needed to serve as an iconic "welcome gate" - a visual introduction that immediately immerses arrivals into the protected natural and cultural wealth of the region.

Every element in the composition was strategically chosen to represent the essence of the territory:

The Pyrenean chamois (isard), native wildflowers, and the transition of seasonal foliage from lush greens to autumn oranges.

The Bossòst Romanesque church - a part of Rota Romanica d'Aran.

Saut deth Pish waterfalls.

And of course, the Pyrenees mountains with snowy peaks of Montardo.
